Current Projects

During the 2009-2010 school year, UCSD SAE will be designing, fabricating, and testing it’s latest car, to be named TR-X (for Triton Racing ‘10). The car will be mainly based off of the design of our 2009 entry to the Formula California International Competition, but will build upon results learned from testing of the car. The car will feature a brand new chassis, bodywork, and various bells and whistles never before attempted on any of our previous cars. An active suspension system, and a ground-effects package are among a few ambitious projects planned for the car.
